Habitat
A woody vine, thorny. Flowers from March to April. On hills, slopes, and thickets.
Preparation
Use root, root membrane, bark. Collect all year round, wash and peel. Slice roots and dry under sun.
Properties
Bitter and acrid tasting; Neutral, mildly toxic. Anesthetic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, circulation promoting, stagnant blood dispelling.
主治用法Indications
- 风湿骨痛，铁打肿痛，腰肌劳损Rheumatic bone pain, traumatic injury, low back pain
- 胃痛，牙痛，咽喉肿痛Epigastric pain, toothache, sorethroat
- 毒蛇咬伤，皮炎Snake bite, pyodermas, dermatitis.
每用根3至5钱，根皮0.5-1钱，水煎服。外用将鲜根皮捣烂或干根皮研末敷患处。或制成酊剂止亚通，也可制成0.5%注射液，作侵润麻醉用。孕妇忌服。忌与酸味食物同时服用。Use root 9-15gm root membrane 1.5-3gm. Prepare as decoction. Externally, use fresh or dried powdered root membrane as poultice. Or prepare as tincture for toothache. Also prepare as a 0.5% injection for surface anesthesia. Should not be taken with sour food.
Prescriptions
Remarks:
Because of its poisoning effect, limit amount of oral intake. Contraindicated in pregnancy. Symptoms of intoxication are dizziness, vomiting, abdominal pain. |
